Iran’s Mania Alijani has won the award for Best Child Actress in a Short Film for ‘Tomorrow , 8 O’clock’ at the South Film and Arts Academy Festival (SFAAF) in Chile.
‘Tomorrow , 8 O’clock’ by Mohammad-Ali Entezarian competed at the August 2019 edition of the SFAAF.
The eight-year-old Alijani began her cinematic career four years ago. She has so far appeared in about six movies.
Alijani has also taken part in three plays, including ‘The Little Black Fish’. The characters which she played showed how talented she is.
Iranian cinematographer Houman Behmanesh hailed Alijani’s talent, saying “sometimes I thought it is Taraneh Alidousti (well-known Iranian actress) who is acting in front of the camera”.
The SFAAF, a monthly film festival, is a festival of the arts, which includes cinema, music video, web series, theater, music, advertising, photography, among others.
